Cody’s diverse practice involves transactional law, health care, professional licensing issues and general litigation.   Cody has vast experience in commercial real estate and representing wireless communications carriers, tower companies, utility companies, fiber providers, commercial real estate owners, and related industries. Cody possesses wide-ranging wireless communications’ industry insight and actively assists clients in the organized deployment of wireless infrastructure and technology across the United States on an expedited basis, focusing on issues that may arise related to title, environmental, easements, utilities (including fiber), zoning, and condemnation.

Cody also works with physicians and physician groups in navigating the considerable legal and regulatory areas impacting their practices.  Cody counsels and represents clients regarding licensure issues, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, Fraud and Abuse compliance, contractual and transactional arrangements, corporate formation and governance, physician-hospital relations and other federal and state regulatory matters.

Cody has a Masters of Studies in Environmental Law and works extensively on numerous environmental compliance and permitting issues. Cody reviews issues identified in Environmental Assessments and assists clients in navigating complex environmental matters including regulations over wetlands and real estate development.

Cody is a former board member with the Conservation Voters of South Carolina and Midlands Medication Center. He is also a certified as a Family Mediator and has volunteered as a mediator to assist in resolving disputes. Cody was born in Columbia, South Carolina. Prior to joining Rogers Lewis, Cody served as a Staff Attorney with the South Carolina Court of Appeals and practiced at the Pennington Law Firm.
